Let us have a moment of silence to take in the art piece that Angelica painted for me. I have many obsessions...if you haven't learned that about me and if you haven't learned that my tastes are eclectic and bounce're gonna learn today. Unfortunately the list is far too long for me to get into, but among the list of all time faves are elephants and art. If you combine those two (though all combos are not created equal) you're sure to win me over!

So you can imagine how happy and touched I was to receive an Angelica Vanessa original of such a favorite combination. This is officially the third piece I own of hers, one of which is a forest nymph entangled in vines, the other is a portrait of us together during our younger more mischievous years, and now this! I'm thrilled!

I decided to edit the images below in way to make us both look somewhat like paintings ourselves, it was my way of tipping my hat to the artist.

We're back on the scene with a hair-flip from Jessica, she kept her outfit low-key but snuck in an edgy touch with her skull scarf and bossed it up with her pose. Just because you're not glitz and glamming it doesn't mean you can't serve! And this was on the fly...? Shiiiiiiiiit, don't get a fan in front of this Bish!

What She's Wearing:

  1. Scarf from Torrid. $7
  2. Top from Torrid. $10
  3. Cami from Torrid. $12
  4. Jeans from Walmart. $9
  5. Boots (Gifted by ME!

And then there were a couple of moments captured by Angelic and I throughout the night {CLICK IMAGES TO ENLARGE SLIDESHOW}

OK, OK, so I needed to designate a separate mini "slideshow/grid" for these two images, I needed to explain them.

So basically Angelica wanted to see if we could capture Krysia (hottie in the striped shirt) throwing Frito lays into one of our mouths and hopefully one of us would be catching it. We tried a few times, needless to say there were a few fails and wasted chips (my hair caught a few) and then at epic moment was born. Not only was it captured but another chip was captured about to land in succession.....I'll wait for that to sink it.....

And then there's the image next to it, unfortunately it was taken before the chip throwing extravaganza...but I'm telling the story here, so lets pretend that it was our celebratory reaction to our epic WIN!

Last but not least, our quintessential group shot. And with that I bid you a farewell.

Happy Holidays Y'all!

Shimmer, Shimmer.

by Jamila Pierre

In light of the holidays I wanted to put together an outfit that had a little shimmer to it, however, I  wanted it to be known that if there were any "Santa's list" that I was gonna be on this was definitely gonna be the naughty one. So I threw on my spiked faux leather jacket from Forever21, a pair of tights (BECAUSE IT'S COLD GOT DANG IT), and my copper/brown hidden-stud boots. During the photo sesh of my latest post, I ripped my tights because i was being extremely rough and careless.

Between my finger jamming a hole through the leg and me crossing my legs like I don't have buckles on my boots; which then caused another hole to tear into my tights.......I just had it....I was fed up and was two seconds from going bare legged in the cold in this outfit (It didn't help that I was slightly inebriated due to the Irish cream liquor I drank in a failed attempt to keep warm, this just made me even more prone to agitation).

But this is why you have friends, they can see things you can't see because you're too busy being crazy.

As I rolled my poor forsaken tights down my thighs and I let them rest at my knees for a moment so I could continue my tangent about my "tight woes", she informed me it would be so cute if the tights were actually knee/thigh-highs...and that I should cut them.....BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

After I cut the hell out of these tights we ventured into the cold, I died a thousand deaths because it was literally freezing and the Molly's Irish Cream I drank did nothing to keep me warm....but it did compel me to further expose my thickems.... how else were you going to see the thigh-high masterpiece...?

Overall I'm in-lust with the combination of deep berry colors and metallics of all kinds, and I'm thankful for friends who can see clearly what I would do for myself when I'm busy acting like a lunatic and are able to bring me back down to earth.

What I'm Wearing:

  1. Necklace from Burlington Coat Factory. $7
  2. Jacket from $34.80
  3. Dress from $11.80 (on sale)
  4. Bracelet from Burlington Coat Factory. $7
  5. Tights from $12
  6. Boots from $15 (on sale from $42)
