Yet another trend that is finally being fleshed out. Gone are the days we had only the Titans Of Neon, SUVA Beauty, now many brands are trying their hand at the unique formulations that “bring on the bright”.
I can’t vouch for every palette on this list but I can vouch for some of the brands formulations that range from good to brilliant.
The Andy Warhol Palette
First up, this little gem I found on Esty, The Andy Warhol Palette. It caught my attention immediately. Fun and artistic, this is def one of the most true to neon palettes on this list. As I said, I’m not too familiar with the formula but if a neon palette is what you’re looking for, it doesn’t get more neon than this….besides SUVA Beauty Neons.
Neon Drip Palette
I have literally had my eyes on this beauty for over a year, if not more, and I swear I will get this before the year is up. How stunning is this palette y’all?! The color story is captivating and every shade compliments each other well. #GetInMyCollection
The Escape Pod Palette
THIS amazing palette I own. The pigmentation is superior, the color story impeccable, and some of the best monies spent to date. Kaleidos is the jam. Run don’t walk.
The Garden Of My Mind Palette
Yet another in a long list of palettes on the wish-list, as Moira Beauty is a highly unrated brand with a delightful formula and quality. What’s more, it’s more on the affordable side of the pricing spectrum.
The Glamlite Paint Pro Palette
This brand has a plethora of captivating palettes that tickle fancies far and wide, hitting the sweet spot of the many. Between their fun color choices, luxe texture, and excitingly unique themes/packaging….I mean….how could anyone resist? They have colors that range from ethereal pastels, vibrant rainbow brights, sensual neutrals, and electric neons that will kick your looks up several notches for sure.
The Youtopia Palette
This is one of the newer light bright releases on this list. It came out with a cake liner palette that’s water activated and equally as vibrant. I’m not gonna get it because it isn’t my vibe or color preference, but I am still curious about it. Did any of y’all cop this bad boy? If so…was it all that and a chip factory? I own at least one Beauty Bay eyeshadow palette and the quality is top tier.
The Melt Radioactive Palette
Now, Melt is pricey as hell, I’m on the edge of whether it’s worth it or not (because my experience is hit or miss with them), but one of the more explosive and impressive releases from them (The Muerte Palettes) I had to get my hands on. I was NOT disappointed. The palettes released in that collection were met with a few mixed reviews but I think those were based on potential lack of experience with highly pigmented pressed pigments, or the wildly intense color choice. But even THEN, there were a many who copped it for its sheer divine beauty as a whole. All I know is my experience with my last purchase was enough of a win to make me take another look. This radioactive palette was very close to being purchased but I already had a similar one from Kaleidos Makeup so I didn’t take the leap….doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.
The Wired Palette
Oh Urban Decay……., you hurt me so. A once edgy brand that set the tone for the grungy street urchin I was back in the good ole’ “Cube Dayz”, in the East Village of the L.E.S in NYC. Then you turned your back on us alternative murder of crows and leaned into the more mainstream neutral palette spectrum; you left us behind and began catering to the #TheBasicBitch. That’s great for them…but what about us? So when you released this palette I was excited to say the least. Even with all the mixed reviews, I took the leap and got my hands on it; at a discounted price of course….because I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t and I just couldn’t be reckless with a purchase after being burned by a brands faltering identity. I got my mitts of it and I actually DO like it, quite a bit. Thank the lord. Urban Decay, bring us more in the way of more interesting concepts and color story and make a 80s baby happy again.
Profusion’s Neon Palette
Profusion is yet another affordable brand with high quality shadows. I own one of the many offerings on their site, and I’m definitely pleased. Plus, the reviews are fairly unanimous, people love Profusion.
The Roaring 20s Neon Palette
AHHHHHH this brand has some of the best quality for the price out there. It’s primo AF! I own the Roaring 20s Reckless Palette and the color story is incredibly inspiring and the swatches and shadow textures are drool-worthy; I don’t doubt this palette delivers the same. I honestly want it as much if not more than the neon drip palette.
The Dreamer Palette
You know me and the damn discounts/ anything affordable that’s good quality, it’s in my wheelhouse for sure. I love this brands Peach palette and if that palette is any reflection of the brands quality…I’m in.
The Neon Lights Palette
I was surprised to see Lorac do color, let alone “Neons”, because they are a #NeutralBaes dream. But hey, tis’ the season of color baby.
The Birds Of Paradise Palette
I currently own their Marijuana palette and I love it. Makeup Revolution has many baby companies under its umbrella and they cater to many different preferences, price points, and quite frankly it isn’t all created equally. I do find myself fancying their “Chocolate Bar” Palettes and food themed palettes, but these Forever Flawless Palettes are quite beautiful too.
The Bright Vibes Neon Palette
i own their eight-pan purple palette and JESUS is it STUNNING! I don’t doubt this delivers on the same quality front.
The Pastel City Lights Palette
If you’ve read this entire post then you should be familiar with my feelings about the brand Rude Cosmetics. This baby will also be going on the wish list (even though it’s more like neon pastels than just pastels) and to boot, this lovely palette has an older sister; more shadows for your buck.
Rudeflix City Of “Pastels” (More Like Neon Pastels) Palette
And that’s the last of this list for now. stay tuned for more on the eyeshadow palette trends hit us this year.
