Styled by Naught Couture.

My creative counterpart, Angelica Vanessa, asked me to be the stylist for her photo shoot a few weeks ago. Of course I said yes, and of course I asked if I could photograph this amazing model and document the end product of our outstanding work together.

It took a few days to gather all the pieces, as we were both busy with other projects as well, but after taking a few trips to some of our favorite places to shop we were able to pull some beautiful pieces. And with the addition of the accessories, predominately from my own collection, we had ourselves a lookbook ready to shoot.

The day of the shoot I put on my stylist/make-up artist/photographer/photographers assistant hat, and we set out to have a killer session.

Now I wasn't the main photographer for this shoot, but I did manage to capture a few shots in the process...cause come on...

What I Wore: Photoshoot.

by Jamila Pierre

Typically when I conduct photo shoots, I'm in the most comfy garb I can muster up.  It's always some type of stretch pant and T-Shirt combo or one of these awesome dresses i acquired long ago from New York & Co.

They were on sale for like $10 and came in a slew of colors and for a person like me, that's just plain dangerous.

Needless to say, I purchased every color they had out on the floor, and since then these dresses have made thousands of appearances throughout the years since.

They are comfy, easy, stylish, and can easily be dressed up or down.

I decided to wear the black one because I was going to some designer showrooms and didn't want to look like a complete unkempt pile of trash, and with the black one I could pair nicer jewels with... it also hid the sweat on my back due to the nastily humid weather we were having.

There is nothing cute about sweating, looking like you're sweating, or having a sweaty back print...NO!

You must then be asking me why in the H E double hockey sticks am I wearing an anorak...consider the light weight jacket my utility belt because of all the pockets...it was a must.

Overall the day was a success and I was taken to see some pretty fantabulous pieces, I was even tempted to just suck it up and get a pair of Bionada Castana's sky high heels, because they were so freakin' stunning I couldn't take it.

The stylist Berthold Jean- Charles (pictured below) was a trip and the session was interesting and full of life. Look forward to more collaborations with this amazing stylist.
