PUMPKIN SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE.

by Jamila Pierre

Before we get into my love of "collegiate chic"...lets discuss this absolutely stunning pumpkin-spiced sweater I'm rocking....like....

I remember walking into target on a quest to exchange some online purchases and there it was...just hanging there between its teal, black, and cream cousins. Upon further examination I was able to see it in all it's glory (to which is not captured here), there are tiny specks of glitter woven into the thread of this here sweater....I just died!

I really don't know what was up with target that day  but they were doing GOOD things! I hadn't even gotten a shopping cart yet and I was already running around like a mad woman snatching things up that had the potential of coming home with me. And before you know it I was in the fitting room with this sweater and magic was taking place....just like it did with that green floral dress from my "Flyaway Floral" post. Needless to say, it was a must buy....or a "must exchange/swap" if you will.

As for this outfit, I decided to  keep it mostly warm toned. I paired the sweater with my orange-ish brown leopard print pants, my life boots, and to cool it down a bit so as to not be one giant cheese puff...I threw on a chambray top.

Now you KNOW I fancy a good chambray, especially when they have a fun print on it, and this one definitely fits the bill. It also ties into the whole mixing of prints that I love so much. There's also something so incredibly effortless and collegiately chic about a button-front collared shirt under a sweater, with haphazardly cuffed sleeves. I am all the way here for this FIT!

Let me know what you think about this look, or the idea of a collared shirt with a sweater on top....do you do this often? I do, it's a definite fall/winter go to!
