Let's be a little honest here... I AM serving a bit of #YodaRealness up in here, up in here.
But a Bish Chic tho, sooooo.....
Once again this was all unintentional, lol, but I calls it like I sees it.
And I truly don't mind it, Yoda was a bad Mutha...(Shut yo mouth)! Behind that small, seemingly mild mannered being, even with all of what came across as a smattering of useless words, potential gibberish, and a gigantic case of dyslexia, he was a force to be reckoned with.
**"Much meaning in words find you, if looking, wisdom is where one searches all along."-Jamila Pierre (Couldn't help myself)
But no really, there is a vast amount of positive wisdom out there for the taking (much of it was shared through the beautiful minds/creatives behind epic cult classics just like Star Wars), but honestly...most of it can be found within yourself. During those moments when you're in your own silence, when you hear your own voice or the voice you've given a name (or have assigned a spiritual significance to, depending on your belief system), it lies within you.
It's easier said than done (I always say this), I myself am at constant odds with the noise pollution that surrounds my existences (seeping it's way into my sacred space) #TheStruggleIsTooReal, and with my untapped inner peace that's being so securely safeguarded that I myself have to fight tooth and nail to chop through the mucky muck to get to and through to it. But I know it's there somewhere, not just for me...but for every single one of you.
And to be one hunnet & fiddy witcha (as a bit of an empath) it has been weighing down on me heavy to see how many unhappy people there are around me (in my tight knit circle, and beyond), I just can't cope with it so well sometimes. So it's time to make some damn changes.
But first...let me take a selfie! LMFAO!
ON TO THE FASHION!
I purchased this long-lined sleeveless beauty over a month or so ago (after watching it online like a hawk), it was just absolutely stunning in the images that were up on Forever21's website and I was certain it would be just as fabuloso in person. In addition to me stalking this long-vest prey, I was also stalking this palm print coordinate set (which I snoozed and lost on by the by), but I ended up just taking the plunge and just got this lovely frock and paid the shipping and handling on on solitary item. And if you know me by now...you know...it was montage time.
Within all of the days I waited I couldn't quite figure out how I wanted to pair the vest first (I had a few fits in mind), but then it struck me!
I wanted to pair it with a shirt dress, wanted to show some leg, wanted to definitely have a contrasting sleeve and an additional collar, definitely wanted a studded belt (because at this point I think this is becoming my damn signature along with pineapple hair), and I definitely wanted a high bun for the Gods HUNNY!
Yes it was hot on this day, YES I was doing the most, and not a person could tell me a thing about it.
Best thing about this vest too (and all vests like it), is that it just smooths you out with little to no effort. It also kinda makes you look waaaay sveltier than you actually are, that's if and only IF you're seeking a garment to work for you in that way. ("sveltier"...there goes Jamila making up words again).
"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship." – Yoda
