GO Wild.

by Jamila Pierre

I am IN LOVE with this outfit and so is my husband, so much so, that he wants me to wear it on our trip to Boston, I will happily oblige.

When I first put on this outfit I was like, this color palette tho.....

This color scheme shouts my name from the rooftops, and if you're new to my blog; let me be the first to welcome you, and let me tell you first hand how absolutely obsessed I am with mixing prints....I'm absolutely OBSESSED with mixing prints.

I have also been on this work shirt under sleeveless tops kick as well, it keeps me in touch with my inner (and sometimes outer) Tomgirl.

In other news, so much is happening in my life right now: I'm taking my first ever trip with just my husband and I, for the first time in eleven years, my workload has increased exponentially over the past couple of weeks, I've been working on some really great projects with ManikMag and will be announcing some awesome news soon enough, and I'll be having a procedure done soon that should hopefully change my life for the better.

Back to the outfit....

I don't know why I never thought to pair these two tops together, seeing as how they were obviously meant for each other, but it just dawned on me in the middle of the night. Does that ever happen to you, do you ever have those moments when an outfit or idea begins to whisper your name? Do you ever try to ignore it until it goes from a whisper to a full on yell-fest? That was this top combination. I wanted to pair these tops with a olive pant, to which I have several, but I didn't want it to be boring....and what could be less boring than a pair of olive snake print jeans...? PERFECT! Lastly, I put the final hot pink finishing touch on it....because come on...Hot Pink will forever be a neutral.

Dear Leopard...

by Jamila Pierre

Leopard is seriously my kryptonite...SERIOUSLY! This is not a case of being dramatic or overly excited for no reason about this print, this is a serious matter. I see leopard and I am drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

Don't be fooled though, not all leopard is crated equal, there are certain versions of it that need to be burned, but if we generalize the print, and then ask me if it could do no wrong...? I'd tell you with conviction, YES, it in fact can do no wrong!

To me leopard is a color not a print, technically it's a print....but to me...it's a color (a neutral).

I honestly own so many different variations of this Leopard "color" it's borderline ridiculous, my love affair runs deep and you'd think I ran a zoo of no other animal other than leopards....ok...and a few snakes, a zebra...and a giraffe.

I was drawn to these pants because it had a deep dark earthy hue and then when i actually tried it on and cuffed it up, I realized that the inside of the pants were olive....OLIVE!!!

It's these little details that make me appreciate clothing and the people who appreciate including these details in the clothing.

You'll never guess where I got them....Shoppers World....SHOPPERS WORLD! Do you know for how much? Inexpensive dollars.

Naturally I thought to pair it with this lightweight sweater and these gold holographic snake print flats, and as for the cuffing, there's nothing more sexy or chic than barring a little ankle while wearing pants.

Of course one of my cuffs decided to not play nice, and rolled on down. Oh, and for those who know what my mother looks like, I really couldn't look more like a clone of her in the photo below...even if I tried.
